A mix as quiet as it gets. Solo piano and ambient drift, with a Japanese heart—Ryuichi Sakamoto, Susumu Yokota, Meitei, Ironomi and Oh Shu—music made of light through leaves and time moving slowly. The European neo-classical line keeps it company—Nils Frahm, Ólafur Arnalds and Goldmund, with Aphex Twin’s gentlest piece folded in among them. Nala Sinephro’s harp and synth open a little space toward jazz near the end. A morning listen, or for the day’s end— best heard low and close.
